One Day at a Time

Mon 31st July

Usual effort getting out of bed today, being Monday morning. Dad off to the Doctors to confirm that he has indeed got a swollen (slightly) knee, and if in pain take Ibrufen, (or as it says on the box, Ibuprofen-Dad) and if you want, have an xray !!! Dad picked me up for a pic-nic lunch, but as there were a couple of drips of rain we went home, and inspected the grounds. As we left to come back to work we had quite a downpour for several minutes. Jen and I went to the gym to start our new routine, but on a Monday we can only do part of it as we go swimming. One of the instructors said we were filling one of the criteria, that was turning up regularly, but to lose weight we need to do things differently, so today we started !!! We did 12 minutes on the step machine, only 5 on the rowing, as Jen finds it difficult at the moment, and 12 minutes on the bike. I think I have pinched a nerve somewhere as my leg has been hurting all weekend. We then went swimming, and as we were quite hot, it felt really nice. Came home and had raspberries and cherry ice cream !!! I am sure that helped !!! Sasha and Caspar play tuggy on the pink rope. Jake sat on Dad's lap and I had Sasha on mine, but she does not get on properly as her bum is on the end and as the seat slopes down she gradually slips orf. Luckily, no-one has asked us to call your dog "Orf" yet, but if they do, we will try calling her Orf, and see if that helps, but I expect she's more likely to answer to Sasha than if we call her Orf!!

My leg is much better this morning and Dad seems to be moving slightly faster without the groaning noises, (I do not so groan, merely moan out loud when the pain becomes too much to bear - Dad) except when he got in the car and the door closed on his bad leg !!!! And then he complained because I laughed about it, like he says I do when other parts of his anatomy get crushed !!!
